SEGRETE - TRACCE DI MEMORIA è una rassegna
d'arte contemporanea ideata e curata da Virginia Monteverde, organizzata da ART
Commission con la collaborazione di Genova Palazzo Ducale Fondazione per la
Cultura e ILSREC. Come per le precedenti edizioni gli artisti hanno a
disposizioni le suggestive celle delle antiche carceri della Torre Grimaldina.
In questo luogo, di per sé evocativo di drammatici eventi, gli artisti,
attraverso installazioni site specific, offrono letture diverse e riflessioni
sulla Memoria, creando un percorso artistico di forte impatto emozionale ed
evocativo.

Arena, Stefano Cagol, Pier Giorgio De Pinto, Michel Kiwic, Margherita Levo
Rosenberg, Valter Luca Signorile, Cristina Treppo.

Per la sezione video testimonianze, per tutta
la durata della mostra sarà proiettato il documentario “The silent memory”: il
genocidio Rom nel racconto di Piero Terracina, di Seo Cizmic, artista poliedrico
di origine Rom, già Mediatore e Conciliatore Interculturale del Concilio
d’Europa. Attivista noto a livello europeo, per i diritti umani.
L'edizione del 2015 da spazio inoltre ai giovani
artisti con il progetto “Peace Project”.
Al piano superiore della torre sarà allestita
un'installazione, frutto del lavoro di un gruppo di giovani artisti provenienti
da paesi diversi: Mihail Ivanov, Kristina Kostova, Zlatolin Donchev, Shaghayegh
Kashiloo, John Eirik Sandli ed Eirik Rønneberg.

Due gli appuntamenti teatrali per la VII
edizione di Segrete:
Sabato 31 Gennaio alle 18:00, Thomas Simpson,
docente alla Northwestern University di Chicago e attore teatrale presenterà il
monologo RUMORE DI ACQUE.
Sabato 7 Febbraio 2015 alle 18:00, l'attrice
genovese Manuela Valenti presenta il monologo DIARIO DI UNA DONNA

7th edition

SEGRETE. TRACES OF MEMORY is a
contemporary art exhibition conceived and curated by Virginia Monteverde under
the organization of ART Commission in collaboration with Genova Palazzo Ducale
Cultural Foundation and ILSREC. Like in previous editions, the artists can use the
suggestive and antique jail rooms of the Grimaldina Tower. In these spaces,
which remind dramatic events of the past, the invited artists offer different
interpretations and feedbacks about the Memory by creating an artistic path
loaded by great emotional and evocative impact.
The artists of this 7th
edition are Francesco Arena, Stefano Cagol, Pier Giorgio De Pinto, Michel
Kiwic, Margherita Levo Rosenberg, Valter Luca Signorile, Cristina Treppo.

Canton Ticino, Bellinzona, Switzerland – Die Kunstgalerie, Cologne.
As far as the section video witnesses
is concerned, the documentary entitled “The Silent Memory” will be beamed
during the whole exhibition. This documentary made by Seo Cizmic recalls the
Rom’s genocide within the narration of Piero Terracina is a polyhedrical artist
with Rom origins, who is as well Mediator and Intercultural Mediator for the
European Council. He is also known in Europe for being a famous activist on human rights.
This 2015 edition also gives space
to young artists with the project titled “Peace Project”. At the tower’s top
floor there will be an exhibition with a group of young artists coming from
various countries. They are Mihail Ivanov, Kristina Kostova, Zlatolin
Donchev, Shaghayegh Kashiloo, John Eirik Sandli and Eirik Rønneberg.

During the opening the
introduction to the show will be held by Mr Luca Borzani, president of Genova
Palazzo Ducale Cultural Foundation, and Mr Mino Ronzitti, president of ILSREC.
There will be two theatrical
showings for the 7th edition of Segrete:
Saturday 31 January 2015 at 6.00
p.m.: Thomas Simpson, professor at Chicago’s Northwestern University and
theatrical actor, will present the monologue titled “Rumore Di Acque.”
Saturday 7 February 2015 at 6.00 p.m.:
the actress living in Genoa Manuela Valenti will interpret the monologue titled “Diario di
una Donna.”
